According to the European Union, the AAT hygienisation system is used to heat treatment of organic waste, mostly processed in biogas plants. Depending on the type of use and the type and amount of substrate, many of the tested configurations of the device are available, ranging from the simplest settings with a two-jack tank to a three-tank factory with separate heating, hygienisation, and cooling. Depending on the local conditions and the required operation, the appliance can be heated with water, thermal oil, or direct current. The heat exchangers used have very high heat transfer performance and large sections for high efficiency and the stirrers are also very strong.
