Spaans is a very famous Dutch private international company that started in 1897 with the production of its first Archimedes screw pump.

At the time of the establishment of the Spans, the use of Archimedes screws or the same Archimedes pump was more for drainage of windmills and irrigation of upstream pastures, but over time and replacement of low-efficiency mills with powerful and high-efficiency electric motors, It has also established one of the most sustainable technologies.

The Spans family company was acquired by the Babcock Group in 1974, which changed the company’s name from Spaans to Spans Babcock.

Span’s company was able to join the Dutch Alpha Group in 1995, which has further expanded the collection even to equip and supply the dairy industry.

With more than a century of experience in the industries related to the use of hydropower, installation, and commissioning of its systems in more than 80 countries around the world, Spans has become a familiar name in the sludge and water purification industry and sustainable energy production, which has been able to proudly score more than 35,000 industrial projects around the world.

A company with a workforce of 145 people that has mass production capacity within the complex, engineering, and research and development (R&D) and provides an objective and definite guarantee for the quality of its products both in terms of sales and consumption and in terms of after-sales services.

It is worth mentioning that Spans has green and environmentally friendly designs and bases its design and production on sustainability, high efficiency in order to protect the short-term and long-term interests of its customers and the infrastructure.
