Description
Very pure water is essential in several industrial applications. CPA RO membranes are considered the industry standard for all critical applications of high purity from the pharmaceutical to the electrical industry. CPA lines of RO helical membranes are available in various sizes and offer unparalleled performance with the highest salt excretion for saline water applications. High throughput, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness make CPA membranes the best high-rejection saline RO membranes in the industry. CPA membranes are used in electrical, pharmaceutical, electronics, and semiconductor industries due to their extremely high salt rejection.
Types of CPA
CPA2
CPA2 is the second generation of high-rejection saline RO membrane, introduced in the early 1990s. With 365 square feet of membrane area and 99.7% rejection, this membrane has maintained its popularity today as a powerful horse product for hydraulic work. CPA2 is commonly used in brackish water treatment to produce low TDS penetration. CPA2 membranes are available in 4.0 and 8.0-inch diameters.
- CPA3
CPA3 is the third generation of high-release CPA saline membrane introduced in the late 1990s. This membrane is 99.7% rejected, upgraded to CPA2 with 10% membrane area (400 square feet). This reduces capital costs by requiring fewer pressure vessels as well as less floor space. CPA3 membranes also have a thicker feeding distance (34 mm) which is more tolerant than feeding suspended water solids. CPA3 membrane is available in 8.0-inch diameter.
- CPA5
CPA5-LD is a fourth-generation brackish water membrane with high rejection CPA. This 400 square foot membrane was an upgrade of CPA3 with 99.7 was not accepted because it is designed with LDTM low-pressure differential pressure. This allows all ions, including silica and nitrate, to be excreted better. CPA5-LD membranes use a 34 mm thick feed spacer, which increases membrane cleaning efficiency. As a result, the CPA5-LD membrane does not require frequent cleaning, thus reducing filtration costs while providing excellent durability and consistent performance. CPA5-MAX membranes have 440 square feet of membrane area and are suitable for RO polishing and low deposition applications. This increase in membrane level reduces capital costs by requiring fewer pressure vessels and less floor space. CPA5-LD membranes are available in 4.0 and 8.0-inch diameters and CPA5-MAX membranes are available in 8.0-inch diameters.
- CPA6
CPA6-LD is the fifth generation RO membrane of CPA saline water and has the best rejection of all its previous versions with 99.8%. This 400-square-foot membrane operates at a higher feed pressure than CPA5-LD but has the highest rejection in the CPA family. CPA6-LD membranes are designed with LDTM differential pressure drop technology designed to minimize colloidal deposition. They have 37.0 square meters of membrane area (400 feet 2). Using CPA6-LD saves money while still crossing the membrane. CPA6-MAX has the same high-rejection membrane as CPA6-LD but has a 10% increase in membrane surface area at 440 square feet. CPA6 MAX is a preferred choice for feed turbidity with low turbidity and silt density index such as saline well water. CPA6-LD and CPA6-MAX membranes are only available in 8.0-inch diameters.
- CPA7
The CPA7 series are the newest CPA saline RO membranes, providing the highest salt footprint in the industry. These RO rejection membranes are designed to meet your purest water quality requirements. In situations where ultra-high purity water is required in harsh conditions, CPA7 membranes offer the best combination of high desorption and high flow capability in saline RO elements compared to all commercial RO elements. The LD type of these membranes using LD Technology is available in 4-inch (CPA7-LD-4040) and 8-inch (CPA7-LD) diameters. The CPA7 MAX membrane has an active membrane surface of 440 square feet (40.9 square meters), which reduces capital costs by requiring less pressurized tanks and less floor space.
