Objectives of the industry continued research efforts combined with favorable economic conditions led Valcom to enter the maritime trade significantly in the early 1990s. After a few years, today Valcom manufactures tools for various industries such as pulp and paper, marine, food and beverage, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. ISO, ATEX, PED & SIL certifications, with the latest compliance by maritime standards, ensure that the products comply with the technical standards of the time. The Volcom R&D department is constantly focused on updating the product range according to the latest technologies. For this reason, Valcom has in the past collaborated extensively with various departments of universities in Italy and abroad, especially to develop new patent measurement technologies. In January, Valcom joins the newly formed TERRANOVA, a group that brings together the oldest and most historic Italian tools brands in the process: Spriano® (1923), Valcom (1974), and Mec-Rela (1976).
